We are pleased to announce that our new show, which is currently in development, will be an adaptation of Patrick deWitt’s novel ‘Ablutions’.

Picture yourself as a bar-tender, sipping top-shelf whiskey and watching your regulars descend into nightly oblivion. Blending a live soundtrack, detailed mime and a darkly comic text; step inside the mind of a charming, wretched soul. Your heart is broken by the world around you and, leaving the whiskey aside, you hatch a devious, unthinkable plan of escape…

DeWitt has this year been shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize for his latest work ‘The Sisters Brothers’ – go on, have a read, it’s brilliant.

We will be performing a work-in-progress of ‘Ablutions’ at the Bristol Old Vic Studio on 19th July, as part of the Ferment Festival and would love a chance to get your direct response and feedback before we take the show into its next stage of development over the summer.

Tickets are available now  Bristol Old Vic, so please do pen the date into your diary!
